As an Animation Professor and Technical Director for 19 year in Sheridan College's Animation Program, Mario has had helped countless students with countless challenges on their animation projects and films.

"As Animation Professionals, we are always learning, just like our amazing students."

"It is truly an honour to work with so many amazing people!"

2003, I was brought into the animation department to build the backend infrastructure (servers) for students to learn and make animated film on. In order to customize the environment, I wanted to learn as much as I could about the tasks that people would be using on the system. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn.

First I started editing music, then editing films. Editing was fun but some of the scenes were ... blah. "How can I make them better?" This was when I started to learn Compositing, Lighting and Rendering. Of course, that just leads into Effects.

I continued my learning and found that I was sharing my knowledge with our students. I was even helping students with rigs, animating and countless other things.  This was very rewarding; I would show them one small thing and they would do something incredible with it! This was exciting and I wanted to do more so I moved into teaching in 2008.

In 2016, I moved from TD (Tech) to a Fulltime Professor (achieving my masters).   I now hold the position of Program Coordinator for Sheridan's Bachelor of Animation.
